"I believe that now we both know what we want - and know how happy we are when we're together - it just seems more apparent that the other is somewhere else. I think it may be nothing more than a symptom of the fact that our souls have started the process of becoming one. So in a sense, even though I've been missing you, I'm also so incredibly happy!!! [..]
I totally went to town on all the hair that grows out of different parts of my head today :) I trimmed my hair down to #3 all over, my beard down to #1, and I totally went after the nose hair - I was way up there :) I couldn't help but smile to think of the day when you could buzz my hair for me. We're really going to have fun doing little things to take care of each other. [...]
I know that in the first several months, you are going to miss the wonderful, random chaos of Seoul. I know you are a city mouse :) But I also believe that you will find so much fulfillment in the life we make together. You will have all of your favorite things - hot water, reliable electricity, internet - a whole house to decorate. Of course, I also think we need to go on little adventures - we'll check out Raleigh and Durham, Charlotte and Winston-Salem. We'll also take weekend trips to places like D.C., Chicago, Miama, New Orleans, Boston :) I'll make sure you get a good dose of city every 2-3 months.
And don't forget - by 2020, we'll be making plans to go live somewhere abroad - perhaps back to Korea - or Germany - or Spain - we're going to have such an amazing life ogether - we will travel - we will stand together in awe and wonder - we'll see the Pyramids - Turkey - Australia and New Zealand - But we'll always have each other and we'll have a home to keep our souvenirs - a place where we can always be at peace. :)
I'm totally excited to see you turn into the ultimate party hostess :) I know that within a year, you'll probably collect all the most interesting people in the Sandhills and have them over to our house - we'll make really cool food stuff - cheese, crackers, wine and beer - martinis perhaps. We'll share ideas and knowledge and experiences with others. We'll have lawyers talking to tattoo artists; artists talking to mechanics - it will be awesome! [...]
I do imagine a future when you have all these letters and cards and notes in some kid of storage box - that later - when you are older (like 40 or something!), you will pull them out - remember - reflect - and be happy. I want them to be a joy for you - both now and in the future. :)"

~You are my love. You are my life. From first sight, you became my destiny.
~I live to see you smile - to see you laugh. Your joy is my joy.
~You saved me. You brought me to life.
~The fairy tale did come true!
~Lean on me - let me be your rock - your foundation. I will never fail you.
~ I want to be cute and cuddly and silly with you. You are my one true one.
~I look forward to the day we can cook together, clean together, and take care of each other.
Together From the earliest moment in time, I was crafted for you, and you for me. We have spent years apart so that we could spend even more together. My soul, my heart, my mind and my body - all are open to you - all exist for you.
Beautiful I want to drink you in - explore every part of you - become one with you - your mind - your body - your soul.
Joy My soul dances at the sound of your voice. When I see you, it leaps in the air and flies across the sky. When I touch you, the universe melts into everything - pure, radical joy.
Peace Like any man, I can make mistakes. But please know I will always be faithful to you - to our love. I will be slow to anger and quick to forgive. Above all, I hope my love will bring you peace.

"Enclosed are the three letters I wrote to you right after I got on each of the three flights that carried me away from you. Today, as I jump back into my daily routine, I hold so many joyful memories in my mind - holding your hand as we walked the streets of Seoul, eating a Morroccan meatball sandwich in the small hours of the late night, resting my hand on your hip as you lie next to me, sleeping peacefully. [...]
I know this is difficult for both of us, but I also know that the sadness and challenges associated with being apart are insignificant in the face of the amazing fact that we are actually together - if not physically then at least in spirit. [...]
These brief moments of sadness are just reminders of the incredibly joy we have both felt on so many occassions. You must always remember that I love you - that we are meant to be together - that we are fulfilling our destiny."
